Model Of Care and Therapeutic Milieu

Bethesda Clinic offers an inpatient experience that builds on the individuals existing strengths, and promotes and supports the recovery journey. Our holistic model uses the 'Therapeutic Quadrant' which incorporates the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the individual.

The consumer is at the centre of all we do, with the aim to empower individuals to live their best lives. We do this by embracing technology to actively engage the consumer in planning and monitoring their own progress. The consumer is then empowered to choose whom they wish to share their journey with.

At Bethesda Clinic, we understand that many people who seek services have experienced trauma that can have a lifelong impact. We are committed to acknowledging this and assisting individuals in finding strategies that reduce the impact on daily life through trauma informed practice.

MILITARY, VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDER WARD + / GENERAL MENTAL HEALTH WARD

This specialised ward provides evidence based, best practice therapeutic interventions for veterans, first responders and those who are on active duty, who have had traumatic experiences that impact on their ability to function optimally in the community. Traumatic experiences may lead to individuals to experience anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health challenges.

WOMEN'S ONLY WARD

As part of our trauma informed approach to care, Bethesda Clinic offers the first ward exclusively for women in the WA private sector. We understand that it is important to feel safe and secure within an environment to fully immerse oneself in therapy and gain maximum benefits. Sexual safety is an important aspect of this and is a priority for Bethesda Clinic.

ALCOHOL & OTHER DRUG / GENERAL MENTAL HEALTH WARD

The general mental health ward provides expert care and treatment to individuals who may be experiencing problems with alcohol and / or prescribed medications that may be habit forming, and in turn, impacting on the individual's mental health and wellbeing. Consumers with a variety of mental health conditions that require inpatient care may be co-located on this ward.
